could be broken in the closed position so wouldnt make it rev. would make it stall all the time. wouldnt affect t when driving though so doubt its that

Hmm, Idle Control Valve only does what it says on the tin...the idle. Any hesitation through the remainder of the rev range is probably due to a fault elsewhere.

Check for air leaks!

could be could also be air flow meter or thorttle position sensor, id say more the air flow meter,

ICV is at the back of the block iirc

Air flow meter is obviously by the air filtet on the induction pipe

and TPS is on the throttle body

I believe the Idle Control Valve on my 96' Corsa Sport X14XE needs replacing or cleaning out.

Basically the syptoms are:
.In lower revs the cars hesitates
.Whilst driving the car between 2k to 4k revs in second, third and fourth gear normally the car hesiates again, starts to jump abit if you get what I mean.
.And it keeps cutting out randomly, normally when I put the clutch down when slowing down.

Ive recently serviced the car, but the problems still remain, can anyone confirm that it is the ICV?
And the important part is, where is it located on a X14XE Engine?

Thanks:thumbs:
