yeah plugs are sparking and they are newish anyways.

i will have to have a look at the plug on the dizzy, i think its something to do with the dizzy.

i have had the crank sensor off on the bench and tested it with a meter, was getting good readings and was testing ok.

Change the plugs and check the compression, is this a freshly converted one or has it been running and now stopped? Has the EML never worked?

yes plugs are getting wet. has had new coolant sensor and also new ignition amp and coil.

the spark oput of the coil is crisp and blue, seems perfect.

but out of the leads from the dizzy it dosent seem 110% to me, are fauly dizzys a common thing on these?

try taking the spark plugs out and see if there wet on the end if so its petrol the smell your getting is beacuse its getting flooded with petrol in the bores could be down to a leaky injector or you just cranking it over alot of times thing to do is take the plugs out leave out for an hour come back and put them back in and try to start hope this helps

right have a 2.0 XE corsa, basically....

Getting fuel, getting a spark, timing is ok, but it wont go.

car has had new plugs, leads, dizzy cap, rotor arm, fuel filter about 400 miles ago and has ran faultless since fitted.

Car was driving ok, but coming home from work one night it developed an intermittant missfire which turned into a constant missfire. the car then became hard to start then now it wont start at all and stinks of fuel.

Any ideas or anybody had similar issues?

Cheers Gaz
