This seems to be a common problem now, after a few years of use :|

Is there any indication was to why they are going?

Monster on here has had some trouble with his turbo :look: if it's under warranty I'd get it checked out :) but I don't think black smoke is anything to be worried about on a diesel. Not sure about blue though :o

Diesels get a sooty build up in the exhaust if they're not driven hard or so I've heard. Try taking it for a spirited drive and see if it helps, if it doesn't no big loss

1.3 cdti's some times tend to have a seal in the turbo go, not trying to worry you but if it's still under warrenty id go get it checed out if not pull of the pipe on the side of the turbo ( with the engine off) and stick your fingers in and see if theres any oil!

newer cars tend to burn a little oil, just tell her to keep a check on the oil level and if its going down a fair bit then you have something to worry about, you want to see pug 107's they smoke like a chimly
