yeah it was out of a cav gsi all wired up the same as mine an mine runs. will probley find that its the crank sensor just hes tight git n wont buy anything | |

What loom have you got mate? If you've got a cav gsi loom then next to the dizzy you should have a thin black wire that used to have a 1 pin plug on, this is the switched live for the ecu. Make sure it's connected. | |

this black wire your on about... is it the switched + one just behind the the dizzy cap?? with the red one?? | |

hey up mate i had same problem smelling of petrol and turning over but woudnt firer in look for a black wire on the loom by the battery tray and put it on to to battery it should fire in | |

just put an red top in ma mates corsa gsi wired it up basicly the same as my let. but when trying to start the it the first time it wos trying to start but just would'nt go. now theres no spark and when cranking i can smell a very strong petrol smell. any idea wot the problem could be. |
