First thing to do I'd say is change the battery and then go from there.

its either a starter motor , its relay or battery.

if when u switch on the ignition, no lights come one, or they are very dim - need to charge the battery.

if all lights come on, nice and bright, an du hear a click, but nothing else, then its starter motor.

if there is no click, and engine doesnt turn, probably relay or fuse.

if u try to start the car, and u hear fast clicking - starter motor jammed or battery is dead.

Does it click when you try to start it? I'm assuming you get dash lights etc? If it clicks i'm guessing your starters mashed. If the starter doesn't click, i'm guessing the starter relay has gone. If it turns over but won't start then i give up :)
