my 1.2 thermostat went.. fan switch broke.. got it fixed was fine n now my heads gone.. good luck with yours lol

check your water pump it's common on the 1.2

no symptons of head gasket, overheating when driving, came on suddenly and smoke from under the bonnet

1. Is the fan kicking in
2. Is the water circulating round the engine
3. Have u got symtoms of head gasket

When is it overheating? If when he has been idling for a while, that is relatively normal.

My friends cars overheating for no reason its a 1.2 8v.

its got all correct fluids in it fuses are fine.
