Cheers for the help, should be getting changed at the weekend and my car can finally run normal again!

Sounds like the AFM to me. Exactly what mine used to do, although there was no EML. I would sit in traffic (e.g. idle for a while) then go to pull off and it'd bog down.

New AFM sorted it and been fine ever since.

I have noticed a problem with my Corsa B 1.2 sxi, when I got the car I had a crap cone filter on it that I have since replaced with the standard air box, the problem is the car seems to bog down quiet a bit, and in some cases really wont build revs, its as if their is some sort of block stopping it from building revs, also the engine management light comes on then when I lift off the accelorator it goes off, I have dealt with this before in my brothers old corsa b and it was his AFM I will be replacing this, but could there be any other reason it might be doing this?
Any help would be appreciated.
