What bolts were you using? the proper pinch bolts from vaux that have a shoulder? or just normal bolts? :o

I am prepared for it!

Yea they were definately tight enough, ran out of threads and there was still play in the ball joint...

Are you sure you have them tight enough?

No idea on hubs mate will be a vaux only thing id imagine so hope you have plenty money

Bought new ball joints and bolts, still too much play for a test so had to get new hubs...

You got any idea of the price chief?

Plus there is a slot cut in the ball joint that the pinch bolt goes through so there is no play :)

Mabe the pinch bolt is worn? get some new ones from vaux, before replacing hubs i would try some new ball joints first, and new pinch bolts and make sure there tight and there should be no play

On a 2000 car yes  Ive had a few corsas and never had to replace a hub :o The reason there is a slot cut on the hub for the ball joints is so it gets a tight grip when the bolt is tightend

Ball joint hole has worn so it's badly oversize

B3KAN

Why do you need new hubs :boggle:

Ellis

Does anyone happen to know how much two front hubs and ball joints would cost on a x14xe Corsa (2000)

Just trying to gauge my bill for MoT...
