yes it drives fine when lambda is broken/not fitted as mine was broke for while just get eml flash now and again but more fuel will be used

It wont be in limp home mode.
Just the ecu wont be running in closed loop mode, might see a drop im mpg on motorway etc(when lambda reading is in most use)

as above, if your not running it, you need to earth a pin out, as on the pre-lambda engine's this is how it was..

this only works on the dissy type engine's and not the dispac, as they have different management etc

edit : just found out : pin 20 to earth then the lamba is ignored

lambda isny used on full throttle so unlikely it is possibe just to earth a pin to dump it off i think

Will that cause it to smoke and be down on power?

If so, how much smoke and any guess on how much power is lost?
