EGR Valve?

Seems to be a pain in the arse issue with most Vaux engines lol - Am having problems with an Astra atm which I've been told is the same part.

14.16v kangarooing / cuts out at junctions etc. but for some strange reason it runs ok (slightly intermitent lumpy idle) with the eml on soon as the eml goes out the problems start :o

any ideas or anyone experienced these sympoms before?

im going to get a diagnostics check soon but id just like to know if any one has an idea
