cheers so thats the only difference between doing a headgasket on the 8v and 16v?

The timing marks (little dashes on the teeth) on the cam pulleys should face each other before and after. as per this pic:

When I thought mine had gone, the mechanic said "it isn't a 16v engine is it?" I said "no, 12v cam chain engine" and he said "pheww".

the headgasket has gone and my dad is going to do it for me but although he was trainned as a mechanic he hasn't been one for 30 years:o:| so he knows 8v's not 16v is their any problems that he will come across thats alot different to 8v's?
