with it connected it was 0%, the only reading out was the lambda (hc's were all over the place, buit mostly below 200ppm)

Fine as in "working" yeah.
Its not at all ideal though having it reading one cylinder.

What was the Co% with the lambda connected?

Does sound like a dodgy sensor.

did a voltage test on the lambda today (disconnected)
got:
idle: 0.8-.9v
over 3k: 0.1-.9v (irratic as hell)
engine off: 0.3v

id say the sensors fooked?...anyone else have a view?..
BTW the sensors always been in this branch its been fine for nearly 3 years lol.

faulty sensor imo

but, it is far better to weld in a boss so you can screw the sensor in where the 4 branches meet.

Take the lambda out and have it put in where it normally is on a standard manifold.

Where it is now its mis-reading.

Not sure If having the lambda sensor in one of the pipes alone would make a difference though, someone else might be able to help you there

If you get a lambda value of 1.35-1.6 with the lambda sensor plugged in then is most likely knakared, its the job of the lambda sensor to keep the lambda value at 1 when its idling and cruising

corsa 1600/16v.
lambda - between 1.35 - 1.6
cO - 0.00 %
HC - 50ppm

FAIL.
any ideas as to the cause??..

when the lambda sensors unplugged, i get:
co .13%
Hc 73ppm
Lambda 1.01
Pass lol

the lambda sensors on the top of branch 3 of the 4-1 (if that helps)
