thats what i plan to do mate,just finding one is becoming a problem:boggle:

It's prob just the cone filter mate. They caused havoc on the old XE lumps due to heat soak.

Cant you get yourself a 2.2 airbox, de-restrict it and put a panel filter in instead?

tells the ecu what temp the engine is running at like on the astras it can also give a hot start problem when its hot and you stop the car you go to start again and it wont start straight away turns over and over then fires

how can the coolant temp sensor change the way the car runs? not been funny or owt. just want to know incase its making mine play up

sounds like the cone is causing a problem to me as said standard airbox derstricted is the best i have seen for the astras

if still no luck another known fault is the coolant temp sensor they dont through up a fault they just make it run a bit rough oh and whilst you there take the throttle body off and give it a good clean makes a world of difference when i do it to mine i do it once a month

Might just be the daft filter, on my sport iv put the standard airbox on and pulls so much better

right,got a really annoying problem,when the car is cold there is no problem at all, but after 10-15 minutes the acceleration seems to loose its pull, and this only happens when the car is warm.now the only thing i have on the engine is a cone filter which i am in the process of changing as i dont like them, other than that im stuck on what could be causing it so any help would be apreciated
