It would work, but as swedge says. Alot easier just to skim the small gaps with the filler. + dont know of anyone thats done it the way you suggested.

Just smooth badge recess over. and skim the corners a tad. ;)

but the way i mentioned in my eyes would be the same work..and also it would accept the grill perfect? has any1 dun this before?

most people just put something in the gap then fibre glass then skim it with filler

alot easier

Right, if i got a standard bumper (picture below) and cut it out where the red lines are in the picture, and did the same on my gsi, would this be the easiest way to change my gsi to accept a standard grill? comments would be very helpful..!!! thanks:thumbs:
