but it still might be the crank sensor though

i had my EM light ona while back and it was the crank sensor

give it a clean and i gave my crank (i think its that, whatn the sensor reads from) a little sand to remove the little rust from it so it gets a better reading

it wont be the crank sensor...

it always show's that, as the engine isn't running when connected to the tech 2

You may disconnect the battery if you wish, but its not essential IMO.

Unplug the Crank Sensor, then unbolt it. Easy as pie!

EML would come on every nown and then, plugged it into a tech 2 machine and it says i needed to replace the AFM and the crankshaft sensor. then 2 days later the car cut out on me 3 times whilstr driving, i had to push the car off the road, and 10 mins later it would start, but as soon as the revs reduced, it just cut out.

AFM is a piece of cake to fit, but what about the crank sensor? Is it just a case of fitting them both and starting the car, or do i have to disconnect the battery etc?

Thanks
Dan
