Strictly speaking your engine never will start with C20LET while you have that block, as long as your paying the right amount of tax for the engine size no one will follow it up

so even though my engine number now starts with c20let i don't need to change it?if so thats a bonus i can go and get it taxed after it's been m.o.t'd

Not really, you engine number is still C20XE, thats just what the manufacturer started the engine number off with to make it easy to identify. if you change the first letters to C20LET********* then you have basically made you own engine number up

but on the logbook it says c20xe***** for the engine code now ive changed the engine to c20let***.so if i get pulled or anything the log book will state the wrong engine number.

Why would the engine code need to be changed? The engine should keep the same code only you have fitted a turbo to it. Wouldnt make any difference to tax anyway mate

just wondering do you still need to send an engineer's report off with your log book to get the engine code changed?and is there any difference in tax? |
