Stick the car in 4th gear, hand break on get someone to sit inside it pushing on the break pedal as hard as he/she can.

then it will crack off easely...

Oh shit, I was hoping you wouldn't say that one as it is something like 250nm and then angle tightened as well! :lol:

If the engine is in the car I would personally slap the sump off and stick a nice fat bit off wood up against the counter balance of the crank and turn it over with a spanner (not on the motor) until it locks.

If the engine is out of the car and box/clutch etc is off then if you look on the rear of the XE casing you will see a circular hole that will let you put an extension bar through it horizontally. Then use 2 of the 6 flywheel bolts, 1 you put through the ring end of a spanner, the other you wind into the opposing hole, as it comes round it will lock against the bar.

right guys have a 2.0 c20xe
needing to do the crank shaft oil seal the bolt is solid locked to place can't get it off

any tips
