Might be treatable. Always worth going at it with an angle grinder to get all the rot off to assess the damage before cutting bits out.

You can buy repair pannels for them as there common for rotting

around the petrol filler :(

think itd be easier to weld a plate there and move the tank into the boot?

if it is a mk3 fiesta as i suspect, it will be rusting from the inside out so it will really not be worth painting the outside.

you will need to get a repair panel and have that fitted

i've a few rust bubbles around the filler cap on my XR2i

was gonna attempt a go with rattle cans...

doesnt have to be amazing job as its a track car, but id like it reasonable

just wana treat the rust more than anything



anyone got a step by step?

sand down obviously til smooth and the rust is no more...
