yes he should have got one. it was in my document folder with mine on a piece of card same size as a credit card. if not and you do have to take the battery off, i think it only cost about 10 quid to sort it or if you go to vauxhall dealer they charge about 50 quid and they will get all the codes for that car even ecu. providing it has the same stereo in the car from when it left the factory

fm transmitter. just plug it in to the headphone socket and tune it in to the radio. dont think vectra's have a dedicated i pod socket

Is there anyway I can do this?

A friend has got a new vectra (07 plate) with built in sat nav and was wondering if he could connect his IPOD to it. If so what would be needed?
