Guess my stem seals and piston rings are fucked then :lol:.

Get it sorted or it could end up fucking the engine properly.

never overlook the simple obvious solutions.

Check your breathers arent blocked. about 30% of the engines we see that are burning oil have breather problems.

if it smokes under load ie accelerating then its the rings mate,if it smokes on engine braking then its the stem oil seals.either way it isnt the end of the engine it just wont get better! i did have a mate who managed to sort his stem seals out with a bottle of wynns gasket and seal rejuvenator(sp) and it stopped it smoking for a year (ish).

Most likely piston rings, just keep an eye on your oil level wont really cause any damage will just get worse over time :(

i had same symptoms fitted a brand new head from Dave A and it still smoked the same.

unsure mate, someone at work was following me out the multi story work car park, which is a spiral of downhill ramps. so that would be letting the egine slow down, then accelletating, all in 1st gear.

blue = oil being burnt - engine wear (according to haynes lol)
black = unburnt fuel
