electronic component

reads magnetic pulses, heat causes them to fault

common problem's with 1.0's

bet if you go driving it, when it gets hot, after say 30mins it will cut out, leave it a few hours it will start fine

get a crank sensor changed

crank sensor wont go faulty due to heat will it?

check that your crank sensor isnt loose in its bracket and that its aclose enough to the crank, should only be a couple mm away

bottom side of engine drivers side incase your wondering

Cheers guys,
Not the starter motor as it turns over fine.
Anyway of checking the crank sensor

Just to throw another one in, wouldnt start last night not with starter or towing it down the road & bump starting.:(
So put the battery on charge last night as it was starting to run down, went out this morning it starts fine & runs tried it three times over a half hour period.
Could it be something that breaks down when the engines hot but doesnt affect the running only the starting of the engine.
Or is it one of these weird things that wont happen again.
Will keep you posted, & any more info gratefull.

ok any ideas welcome,
1.0 12v 60,000mls. been running fine for a year, went out tonight all ok pulled up switched off, now wont start.
Battery is fine all lights in dash are on with ignition, engine turns over fine just wont fire. No alarm or immobliser on car. Fuel in tank.
When turning over eml light stays on.
Thinking fuel system or ignition circuit, anything to look at or check first.
Any help or suggestions welcome.
See you all in the morning:wave:
