I've not considered the option of the locks being faulty as the car seems to start when jump-leads are connected. | |

If the locks go down and shoot straight back up it means either one of the doors arent closed properly or one of the door motors are faulty..... at worse its the control unit. | |

Don't think it is the immob as the car starts when jump-leads are connected so me thinks it's the battery or at worst the alternator. | |

defo ur immobiliser pal, had the same problem. There is a tiny chip in the key an they are common to go. If not you need to disengage ur immboliser, did you disconnected the batery atall?? | |

try replacing the batteries in the fob, also did u succeed in installing the stereo, if so try putting old back in n explore what happens then | |
