this happened on my clio before, it started making a noise like water was trickling or something, so checked around the oil cap, nothing anywhere in the engine bay that shouldnt have been. | |

the coolant won't be freezing if you used the right amount of coolant : water. | |

My car makes this noise also normally in the morning when i first start then goes once driving after a couple of minutes and some times on a cold morning, but done it on a summer morning to whats the method with the cap off? what does it do, can i had more coolent to make sure isnt freezing? | |

My only other thought is that you may have air in the coolent system if you have only just changed it | |

was it icy weather? suppose the coolant may have started to freeze? | |

I recently renewed the coolant on my corsa (1.2 8v), fine for a few days then today it made a very distinctive slushing sound when I started the engine and subsequently revved up. It soon stopped doing it and drove fine, but I am baffled as to what this sound might be. |
