the heat shields are fine.it doesnt seem to make the noise when going up hill lol any ideas anyone?as got another week yet before it goes into garage

will jack it up tomorrow to check it.and yeah cant hear it much if i rev it slow.just checked my oil level now and there was a tiny bit of mayo on the dip stick this ok?or is it normal this time of year

you have a x16xe.... expect it mate.

my x14xe is a rattely bugger at about 3k

try reving the car very very gently and see if it make a sound i dought it will.

seems to only do it under load.... i canny figure out why they do it i think its a resenence issue.

took car back to where had exhaust done.nothing wrong :(

Could be an exhaust clamp thats come loose. that happened to me a few weeks ago, must of clipped a speedbump. I couldnt figure out what it was lol!!

the noise was there before new exhaust.as stated,will check the cat one

could be a heat shield if its a rattly noise. considering youve just had an exhaust fitted this would be the first thing to check

the noise does come and go but is mostly heared all the time,it still seems to drive the same etc

had all the belts and pulleys changed about 2kmiles ago its a x16xe

could it be anything to do with cambelt/pulleys etc??? hope it's not serious :o

does it sound a bit rattly???? what engine is it?

car has started to make a funny noise it seems to be coming from the front o/s of the engine only makes the noise when i go above 2.5k revs, the noise is kinda raspy,like metal flaping. not the exhaust as just had a full s/s system and the noise was there prior before the new system.
any ideas what it could be before i book it in with the garage????
