Where have you heard of or seen only the front wheels being balanced?

Everytime I have had tyres fitted for my car, they have always been balanced, every single time, regardless of where on the car it sits!

When you swapped them did you by any chance swap where they had come from on the previous car? Many places only balance fronts on an FWD car so if you have put the rears on the front it may be worth swapping them about! ;)

P.S. When doing so if the tyres are directional make sure you adhere to it! ;)

I thing its a very safe bwt they will need re-ballancing

My corsa had that very problem

the whole car would shake at bang on 70, when I eventually (1.2 8v) got it upto 80 it would stop

Rob said that, but mine are standard cupra alloys if that makes any difference?

any pics of these spigot rings?

yeh, might need spacers (spigot rings).

ScottBeck

does your alloys have spigot rings?

bieransri

wobble usually stops at about 70 if its balancing. but do the cheapest/easiest thing first get em balanced up as its more than likely that

Jas

i mean it starts at 50+

bieransri

posted on 19th Jan 08 at 18:21

does it go off after about that? balance them up and should stop it:thumbs:

Jas

50-60mph +

bieransri

at any particular speed? will more than likely be that they need rebalancing

met up with rob (off here) last night to swap wheels

he had my 17" superleggeras

and I had his 16" cupra alloys

since swapping we both have wheel wobble...

the steering wheel shakes like fuck...

was fine before we swapped, any ideas?
