if your worried go get yourself a long straight edge... and put accross from corner to corner on the head at a diagnal, this will tell you wether the head's warped or not,

ether that or get some engeniers blue, and some very very fine wetNdry past the blue on, get some light machine oil and some thing as wide as the head thats flat, and gently rub the wet and try over the mating serface, if you have warped the head it will show up. a lot of old school mechanics will have a very large very thick plate of glass that they put double sided wetNdry on to do this...

Could be, gasket went by the water jacket first, dont even know how long it was fucked as my temperature guage doesnt work :(

Gasket has gone properly now, thick mayo shite on the oil cap.

i didnt get my head skimmed when i did my 8v, its bin fine since. (about 6 months ago)

bepends if it has warped

cant see it as the 8vs are practically made of stone

ive done 4 or 5 head gaskets on the 8vs and theyve all been fine without a head skim.

Also, anyone know the torque settings for the C12NZ head?
