prep work has to be spot on though or it won't last. But yes, the laquer over the nickle plating will mean it will keep its shine better than a polished up metal :)

i found the wire wheel things scratched the metal too much. wet and dry paper then a proper polishing pad and metal polish works better i found

will only cost £40-£50 at a polishers and will look mint when finished

Rotary polisher (you can buy a mop type that you use on a power drill)

Polishing compound (i think green one is for ally)

Buff till your blue in the face

would have thought wet and dry sand paper till its nice and smooth then lots of metal polish and then laquer

I don't know of a specific technique that people use matey.

Alot of people buy the steel wire attachments that go into a drill and buff them up using that then shining it up with some brasso. Other's do sandblasting and acid stripping.
