Its not an MOT failure, its not even an advisory.
Its just an extra safety feature that pulls the belt very tight if you crash.
The belt still works FINE without the pre-tensioner, seeing as some cars dont even have them.

Think only some MOT centres pick up on it, unsure though. Same with the cracked door pillars, some garages pick it up others dont say anything about it

Easiest bet is to find a scrapyard and get one from there or ebay.

The seatbelt wont lock if the pre-tensioner has fired tho will it so its useless and it's an MOT failure aint it.

its seperate, you can buy just the pre-tensioner and then bolt it straight onto the subframe

I'm guessing my seat belt pre tensioner has gone off in a previous crash, as the little yellow bit is poking out of the seat belt clip. Looks like this:

Obviously if i have a crash then its not going to be doing anything and i will fly out the windscreen? So i want to replace it.

Do i need to buy a whole new seat? or is this a seperate part to the seat?
