Basically drill a hole into it but not all the way through then smack a torq into it so it is tight as poss, then remove all elecs from round it, then heat up all the way round it with a blow torch tryin your hardest not to heat up the sensor, when youve got it at a decent temp, quickly get some lighter fluid in a can and spray it on the sensor( it may sound stupid but this works and the gas doesnt ignite as it needs a naked flame) then quickly try and undo the sensor

oh right your inlet is on, as for freezing you can get those pc cleaning air sprays, turn it upside down and voila

You wouldn't get metal filings in the water. Don't drill all the way through it.

As the sensor drops into a waterway to get water temperature, I dont want metal filings in the water, and I cant be arsed taking the inlet off

There's stuff you can get from Homebase and the like for freezing pipes during plumbing work. Called artic freeze I think. It'll be down amongst copper pipes and plumbing stuff somewhere.

Oh yeah

How will I freeze it enough for it to contract?

heating the surrounding area causes it to expand... if the bolt is cooler, hey presto

Well, a thermostat sender on a 1.2 8v SPI corsa.

Basically, the thermostat sender for the dash screws into the inlet manifold. I took mine off, and putting it back on, it snapped flush to the inlet.

Ive tried easy-outs, heating it with a blow torch. Wont budge.

My fantastic paint drawing helps show how:

The yellow on the inlet shows where its snapped flush. Bit on the right shows what it normally looks like.

Any ideas?

Oh, the inside of the sender is hollow, not solid
