on the block nx to the bell housing (near dipstick) i thought that i didnt matter what engine was fitted to the car it was the registration year the testers went off? this is the problem ive always found anyhow | |

yeah, ot the tensioners and water pump, alt is different etc later xe's had different colour injectors | |

Some late xe's also have coscast heads like mine and Ste L's | |

the x18xe1 is a far better option than the c20xe. same shafts, gearbox, mounts etc... and is pretty easy to fit. they make 140 bhp and 135 ft/lb with minor mods and are far newer and more reliable. a massive amount lighter as well. | |

mines a 20xe, same as early c20xe but no cat so little more bhp | |

Both the same BHP, early ones are 20XE, lates are C20XE, iirc? | |

I know u get an early and late c20xe but what are the differences and can someone post a pic of both engines? |
