Not really. It's a good idea, but financially it's a nightmare.

When I priced it up for a 1.6, it looked around £3K to do it properly.

Major things are pistons £500, management £500-1000 depending on what you go for. Then mapping it so it runs could cost a few hundred. Thats nearly £1500 already.

Far cheaper to swap the engine. Plus it'll be more reliable.

how much will all this cost? i can get manifold and pipes made for free if i get manufacture drawings made.

i think i would be looking at 150 bhp

You'd need a manifold made up. Then all the pipework. Lower compression so it doesn't cook itself. Fuelling would need sorting out, and then you'd need management to run it on boost. Not really worth it on a 1.4 tbh.

not really a prop as i work for a fabrication company, would need it designing however :thumbs: any other bits
