i have just rung them up and he said he has pulled the x16xeL out of a 1999 tigra.

So i told him that they were never made for the tigra but he still belives that he pulled it out of a tigra.

i told him taht they are different and that i would have to do work on the manifold aswell as the ports being smaller in the head. He said we have never had a problem sending an x16xel before, noone has ever rung us up and complained.

now i have to ring him on monday to sort it out because he was going home :(

i also have XEL for sale, well just want rid of it, too good to just throw away. comes with x16xe lower inlet too...
ANd has fantablulous triangular inlet ports (which is supposedly a better head as standard then the c16xe):

The difference will be un-noticeable.
The only difference is the shape of the inlet port.

well if the head and cams are different as you say it still wont be the same as the x16xe.

plus i have an ecu for an x16xe!

i just want to know its the engine i want, and i dont feel i should have to do the manifold work as then i dont have one on the 1.4 engine wen i sell it :)

Head, cams, top and bottom inlets are different.
They make a bit more torque due to the inlet length.

Eastend-Its pointless keep sending them back just because there an XEL, just fit a fooking x16xe lower inlet and the inlet box, and it'll be no different than a X16xe.

only head and inlet that are different if iirc

XEL came in the astra. Not the tigra, that got the X16 same as the corsa.

High torque, but lower power. Gains about 4-5lb ft of the XE, but looses 6bhp (100bhp).

only x16xe as in corsa's. They are lying if they are saying it came from a tigra unless it had an engine conversion.

can you get an x16xe L the one with the curvy type inlet manifold from a tigra?? or were they just x16xe!!

i have been stitched up by another engine company sending the wrong engine!
