Why were you doing 95 in it when you dont even have a licence :o

happens dont worry yourself with it, just adjust the linkage itas really easy on the X14XE engines as on the top of the gearbox theres a funky spring/pin thing that locks in the Gears otherwise you have to pull this thing out and stick a 4.5mm drill bit in its place then turn the shaft anti clockwise and all that crap.

right try that its a pain was over taking a car the other night and was hiting about 95mph and went to try 5th then hit 3rd felt like a right T>I>T lol

i would try just adjusting the linkage first.

im right in thinking its a corsa b right?

i was having a lot of troubble getting my lil X14XE into 3rd, just went and re-adjusted the linkage and drained and re-filled the Gbox oil and it goes into gear just fine now.

right i have a corsa sport 1.4 16v

and all the gears are fine apart from 5th its hard to get in to a can get it in some times but thats about it

would it be the gear linkage or some thing to re-set it or should i just replace the linkage as i would like a short shift one

any help would be great thanks
