I had a BMC on my XE Corsa and it sounded like a hissing\sucking noise, changed it to a K&N cone temporarily and it was a propper LOUD ROAR!!!, eventually swapped the BMC for a Viper kit because it was too big to get a cold air feed to and again it was a much quieter hissing\sucking noise which sounds

well why not try and get a cone filter from ebay for about a tenner, fit it and see if it makes the noise you are after, if it doesn't then you have only lost a tenner rather than the price of a K&N.

Also remember because it's a 1.2 engine it won't give off a terrific induction sucking noise, in general they don't

If you wanted more noise why not try and aftermarket back box?

have you got a cold air feed to it?

I had one of those on my old 1.2 and it gave off a nice noise, not as loud as the universal cone though.

BMC will usually be as quiet as standard air box as it's enclosed
