yea ive just ben told that the engines are crap suppose i may go the 20 16v route

The cav 1.8 engine is crap, low power.
Wiring is much the same.

You will need a c20xe fitting kit, and 22spline driveshafts etc.

is there much difference in the wiring etc even tho its a 8 v aint got a clue bout the big block wee block thing care to shed sum light on it

Yes.
But 1.8 cavs are big block, same size as Xe.

is the xe engine not a 16v
