If you've changed any coolant system parts recently, you may have a bubble of air stuck in there somewhere.

Although, I had a similar problem on my xe, it would warm up pretty quickly and then stay warm. If you booted it, the needle would go up, let off, needle goes down. That was a sticky thermostat.

My engine temp seems to go up pretty quick, it cools down fine after a while of the fan eing on, what can i check to sort this ?
