A new gasket, with the bolts torqued correctly is fine.

Gasket sealant helps though as the first time it slipped about an hour after and started leaking quite badly.

Its really strange, in the morning it doesn't make the noise, only after 20-30 minutes of the engine running so maybe the oil pressure now I come to think about it. Still strange though.

I've noticed after replacing my rocker cover gasket, fu**ing the thing up casuing a bigger oil leak and redoing the job each time I've took the inlet manifold off and put it back on there's been a ticking noise, once I got rid of it somehow but now it's still doing it. The more revs the more it ticks. Like them muli-coloured plastic things on the spindles of a kiddies bike as the wheel turns. There's plenty of oil in the car but do you know how I can get rid of the noise? I'm sure its somehow to do with the inlet manifold. |
