Probably normal but check the air filter for dirt. My diesel tends to smoke more when the air filter collects dirt.

After abit of advice about black smoke on my 1.7 CDTI corsa c. I know diesels tend to smoke alittle but i'm alittle worried mine does more than normal. Its not noticable in the day but at night with a car behind me its easy to see the smoke in the cars headlights. Its not too thick but its clearly there (like a light haze). Its mainly under 3/4 to full throttle, not when idling or crusing.

Likely to be a problem or 'normal'?
