wouldnt risk that tbh, any cable should do just to test it, worth just re checking all settins on amp hu and conections. make sure its a good earth ie bare metal | |

I'm not 100% but i have powered an amp using my way, the amp didnt work anyway so i was trying different ways and noticed it powered up buy touching the remote socket with the power. | |

just connect the power cable up to the remote socket for a a breif moment and play some music through it | |

it does sound like the remote wire has broken at some point if it`s the wire from the wireing kits you get there pretty poor best swapping it for a slightly thicker wire | |

Its a sony xplod 720watt, few years old now tho lol. It worked when i took it out of my old car and not now! | |

If it has power then i wouldnt of thought it was the remote wire. Does it turn off when the head-unit is off? | |
