The blocks are stamped with the Engine number(unique), and the engine code.
X14xe etc, each letter/number has a meaning.

so the blocks are marked with these code, i thought theyd be just a bundle of numbers not the x16xe etc

Yeah, X16XE- The 16=1600cc
Same for X14xe etc.

can you tell what capacity the engine is e.g 1600 or 1400 by the engine code or is there a seperate marking on the head/block?
