My brother has got them on his escort totaly difrent i no but he puts 50quid a day in but it depends how you drive it.then again my corsa b 1.4 8valve drinks loads i see my petrol gauge go down when i floor it.

Yes they effect comsumption, as they draw more air in, and fuel "roughly" compared to fuel injection.

You'd probably 20/25mpg around town with them on if setup will.
Drive everywhere floored and you WILL see the fuel gauge move(speaking from experience of twin carbs,lol)

do carbs effect the fuel consumption massively of a c20xe?

i though this was only if they wern't set up properly

there's no reason you can not use carbs for every day as long as you dont mind using more fuel, once they have been set up you should not have any trouble at all, providing they are set up right!

is this set up suitable for everyday use? ino carbs ar not as reliable as tb's but anyone got any more info on this set up?
