I'd forgotten about that GSi

I don't think that would be the cause of a 3k flatspot, you shouldn't be able to feel any difference at all.

I've got that GSi, Lee has fitted a X16XE lower & upper inlet so that when I fit a aftermarket inlet manifold to it he doesn't have to mess around changing the lower inlet.

So C16XE inlet has bigger ports? I'm now running a X16XE inlet, do you think this is strangling the engine because at 3k RPM it really seems to be breathing badly.

Oh and Robin, I have another C16XE in my garage, I have a feeling its going to end up in the Nova.

Why all the C16XE questions Oliver? Are you planning something? :!

Question. When fitting a X16XE lower inlet to a C16XE to fit a aftermarket inlet at a later date, are the ports the same on the C16XE and X16XE lower inlets?

Yeah, but you wouldn't be able to tell really. On paper it would be more powerful, but only be 1bhp, maybe 2.

The X16XE inlets are .5cm bigger than the X14XE ones. So it may make a little difference, right? :look:
