i would say they will come as a pair to don one side!

Each side has a pair of taper bearings!

Whats commonly referred to as a wheel bearing kit will do 1 side so you would need two!

shot in the dark here, but anyone ever bought bearings off: http://www.autovaux.co.uk/

if so do you know if they come as a pair?

in lamemans terms, any bearings should be fine?

most bearings are made to fairly close tolerances. But without the numbers off the bearings to see what tolerance they are its impossible to say.

When building rover gearboxes i always use aftermarket c3 bearings which are cheaper albeit beat to tighter tolerances than genuine ones!

In closing for the purpose of your rear wheel bearings a beaRring is a bearing!

I've got a mate of mine whos training to be a mechanic. hes offered to do my rear bearings for me.

the question is, are bearings just bearings or should I buy GM ones?

question is I've found some on ebay for around £10 posted. the seller has 6499 Feedback. They specialise in motorparts.

what do you guys think? :boggle:
