Though most people will keep the standard compression ratio and just use oversize pistons. Raising the compression ratio is really in the race spec area of things.

Does it have standard pistons? If so the compression ratio is standard.

If it has different pistons you will have to see what's written on them and then go from there...

im unsure what the comp ratio is and need to try and find out what it is how is it done and advise?

You only need to use a standard one unless you have raised the compression ratio of it...

when i took the head off it had a layered steel 1 on which im unsure what kind it is coz im sure the standard 1 is not steel

Use a standard one. Ring Autovaux, they can supply an OE one for good money.

can any body recomend what headgasket i should use on my tb'd xe standard or is there i thinner 1 which will raise the comp that little bit more
