grey wire at drivers side kick panel you can use this for switched ground, just permanent live neon but dont forget to use in line fuse in this

find the door switch, the one that opperates the standard interior courtsey light

take it apart. sounds drastic i know but is is only one screw and you can see the whole assembly.
one live wire and the screw is used to complete the circuit as the neutral on the body.

attach the live to the wire you can see (grey) and then run your earth wire wrapped around the screw. be a bit clever how you do this not to strip the wire as you tighten the screw but you should get the idea.

thats how my illuminating sills are wired. they work fine. hope that helps:thumbs:

cant remember mate if u look in the vehicle handbook it tells you what fuse is the interior light fuse but that didnt work when the light was on. u need to get a live from the wire going into the interior light and earth it anywhere on a clean bit of bodywork. as someone says before the wire runs up behind the a pillar

just tap the +ve wire off the +ve output for the interior lights in the fusebox.

I soldered mine into the interior light wiring - the wiring runs behind the A-pillar trim (next to the windscreen) on the passenger side

ive got a set of neons under the dash which are supposed to light up the footwell. the neons are run off a switch but i would like them to come on when i open either of the front doors. how do i reconnect the wiring to do this? its currently getting a live from the fusebox and is earthed to the body of the vehicle.
