It sounds like its doing exactly the same as mine did when the MAF was nackered. If it was my car, from my experiance i'd do that first. Even try one off another car to check.

Mass Air Flow meter, its doing exactly what mine used to do when it was nackered. Management light took ages to come on and when it did it was showing up rogue codes.

Ok, on my 1999 corsa 1.2 16v, when i start it up from cold it stalls straight away, i have to keep my foor on the gas for a few minutes until its OK.

After a minute, if i take my foot off the gas the revs are so low it thinks its stalling and the battery light flashes as the revs go down/up/down - sounds well lumpy

if i floor it, it bangs and pops twice, then after a few seconds the revs shoot up and go back down as normal when i take foot off

after 5 minutes the engine warms up and car drives perfect all day long

no engine management lights, checked plugs and they were a bit black, might be running rich?

any other ideas as to what it could be?

thanks
