10/40w semi will be fine. Do you have trade club access for all these parts youll be buying?

If the leads are BERU and are in good shape, keep them.

I do have stereo in the Car yes.

What grade oil should I be using in a XE that has done over 100k.

A standard 55aH job will do fine. No point adding extra weight if you dont need it (if you have large amounts of ICE then maybe...)

The Vauxhall GO batteries are pretty cheap.

go to a motorfactors and ask for an 063 or 065 battery depending how much you want to spend.

1.7 Cav diesel battery will fit and do a good job. It's what I use :)

i have a corsa diesel battery on my 1.6, never have to worry about leaving the stereo on etc etc. something like 480 CCA compared to the normal 320 or what ever they are.

my standard gsi battery does the job of running my xe and all bits just fine. hasnt gone flat or anywhere near ever.
i use 15w 40 oil (Yellow shell helix) for my XE.

I'm going to buy a new battery I think. My original Corsa one isn't taking it very well at the moment, coupled with the cold weather, and the fact i'll need a reliable battery for the engine conversion.

What battery should I get? Another Corsa one? Corsa Diesel? Calibra?

While i'm there i'm going to be getting the consumable service parts I need:

Oil: 10w-40?
Gearbox Oil: What Grade is this? (Help)
Plugs
Leads
Fuel Filter (Haven't changed it in 40k) :|

Anything else?
