i also have a 1.0 12v, and that started off when i bought it idling at 1000, then 1 night after a drive out to the beach, i was at a junction and the revs plummeted to about 600, then stopped at 750. just had it all looked out and nothing seemed to be wrong, but revs are back around the 900 to 1100 mark now. there is a small allen key bolt behind the accelerator cable under the bonnet, tweak that and it should alter ya revs mate

It could be the Idle Control Valve - mine does it occasionally when the car is hot and is raining outside but I tend to put up with it!

hey,

something that has surfaced over the past few weeks is a problem with my car when its idle - it should sit around 750revs yea? well my car reaches there then kinda drops down another 100 revs n back up again, sounds astho the cars gona stall...anyone know what could be the problem?
