have you checked that all plugs are sparking? Fuel relay is common on these but if you can smell fuel then its not that!

my money is on crank sensor!

do you have the EM light comming with the ignition?

Seems to putting out too much fuel, took the spark plugs off and turn the engine over... Rakes of fuel spraying out. Nearly started when new plugs were put in.

Also got a new distributor cap and rotor, no difference. Anything else to do?

Cant be that, as its getting fuel? I think it could be the distributor cap, it seems to be burnt to feck inside, ill get hold of one later, see if that helps.

Yup, it has good compression, is sparking and is getting fuel. The thing thats confusong me is that it did go, it was revving perfect.

Just tried another ECU, still the same problem.

compression test. if it has good compression and is getting fuel and spark it has to be firing order.

Nope, you see it started for a while, about 20 seconds, then died off. That was with the exhaust off, so I dont know whats caused it to stop.

Hi,
Im having a problem with my XE, it will simply not start. It turns over, is getting fuel, and it is sparking. I think its the ECU, but cannot test for this.

What can I try to sort this out?
