done the whole take both wheels of and check.. there is nothing a miss .. accept the initial damage of the (rack being snapped , track rod end being damaged, and the alloy wheel being cracked. all on the passenger side) I think if there is damage to the chassis then a tape measure just aint going to cut it. I think jig after i have replaced the strut and arb and hub. Also i think it sticks slightly out more at the top of the wheel. not 100% sure if its any more than the bottom but it looks a good inch or so out compared to the otherside. I will get soem pics up later on when the weather permits guys. cheers anyways!!

Does it stick out at the top or at the bottom?

err i have a better idea, why not grab a tape measure and measure the fuckin car first.

You shud be able to take it to a alignment specialist and have all the angles measured. Just looking underneath a car you will not be able to tell if anything has moved unless there are crease lines in the chassis itself.

Right.. well if i get this thing on a jig after i have sorted the rack so its at least moveable. You reckon were talking around the 250 mark to have it even checked out?

mate i think rick is stating the obvious. if the wheel is sticking out that far something is obviously no tright, to make sure your best bet would be to put it on a kig (which is what rick is saying) and that way you know if its fine or not!! if the top of the wheel is protruding from the arch about an inch somehting major is wrong, prob bent the strut/hub, but the only way to be sure that its straight is to get the thing on a jig. it might look fone once you have replaced everything but it might never drive properly/straight... chris

sorry rick i assume then that you were underneath my car and can see it needs to go on a jig i also assume you have measured the kpi, caster, camber etc??..NO??? So you have completly contradicted yourself

I bet it will need jigging. £250 back hander and its on a bracketed jig. So many variables in the corsa front suspension. For someone to look at it and say its straight they are talking fucking bollocks.

I was thinking about doing the whole lot dave LOL I assumed that even if by fixing 1 or maybe 2 of them things that something will probably break within the next few months anyways!

I would replace the complete swivel hub, steering rack, lower arm inc the lower balljoint, strut and topmounts, tie bar and antiroll bar.

Was thinking the bottom arm may be the culprit.. and i haven't had the camber checked as of yet? I surpose that needs doing at a garage? I also thought it could be the strut or arb?

I really think there is nothing wrong with the chassis or chassis leg. had my mate who is a mechanic check the chassis leg as soon as the accident happened. . . I dont think its fair to straight away assume that the car needs jigging Specialy as its cost me 4K 2 months before some uninsured fucker smashed into it and took off!
